Egg hit!  After all these airborne and swinging targets, this felt like good old slinging again.  Great fun!

I didn't include it in the video but it took me 33 attempts to hit the egg.  I had 3 hits on the plastic lid (one is kind of borderline) and a total of 9 hits on the lid/pallet together.  So about 27% accuracy for the pallet.

Here's the video: https://youtu.be/qWlHMSHUtvc

This is 2 out of 3 for me in our current Challenge Triad.  But because there's still some time before Easter, I'm going to try something else before moving on to the nail.

Great hit joe , I still haven’t had a good slinging session since the pendulum. I have a small amount of time today so maybe I can squeeze an attempt in.

Thanks for keeping up the challenge I really enjoy the challenge thread.

Both coin and nail are going to be filming nightmares

I'm still recovering from a nasty cold (not corona virus) that I picked up in Mallorca (or more likely one of the 3 airports I passed through on the way to Mallorca) so it might be a little while until I can get out and do the egg challenge but I definitely want to have a go at it.

Jaegoor filmed himself hitting the coin with the camera being behind it and down to the side. I think I'll try something similar to that and pray I don't take out the camera...

i had an attempt today but unfortunately i wasn't able to do it. had some extremely close calls but no hits. i was not slinging the best today and hope ill find some more time soon.
i boiled my eggs to get a little more durability out of them. i still want to try something if i find the right spot but finding filming hard.

What I'm thinking for the coin is to have the camera behind me and to the side, but near the ground and angled up.  I don't want to start losing coins in my yard, so I'm going to get some metal washers that are coin-sized and spray paint them orange.  I think that will help them to be visible in the air and on the ground.

I'm actually not sure if this challenge was intended to be an aerial target, but that's what I'm going with.  Kind of like hitting the flipped coin out of the air.  I definitely have a concern that I just might not be able to get a hit with this one.  First attempt will be next weekend as long as weather permits.

Aerial coin hit it is , at least filming will be easier. Shots gonna be more luck than skill but (at least for me) let’s step the coin up to next after egg challenge and the nail challenge can be last

Ha!  That thought goes through my head while setting up for every challenge. Cheesy

Although I hope with each challenge, a little bit less luck is needed than the time before.

So I got the Easter Egg challenge done today but not without a few hiccups.

I started with a setup that was an egg balanced on a post , I had some close calls but no direct hits (one glance posted below)

Then my carton of eggs blew of a rock and smashed all my spare eggs

I was not happy with my filming and was struggling in the wind, my hair kept getting in my eyes and I was struggling.

So I moved spots, I got out of the wind but had nowhere to put the egg, I was ready to give up.

Then I found a piece of bailing cord, I was able to tie a small cradle for the last remaining egg, and I hung it from a tree.

I wasn’t able to get the lighting right for me throwing and the egg so I just filmed the egg,

Then the gods gave me strength and believe it or not I hit it first throw with the new setup, from roughly 12m .

So happy to tick this off as I have no time to attempt it in the coming week.

Next up coin toss

Awesome shot! I'm hoping to get the egg done this week. I have work tomorrow but, if the weather is ok, I should get this done on Thursday.

I hope your weather is cooperative Kick.  I'd love to see another broken egg here! Cheesy

Coin hit attempt.  I switched the camera to a portrait orientation rather than widescreen because it worked better with the angle I was using, and with throwing things up in the air.  The washers I used didn't show up great, but still pretty well.  I like how the video came out overall.  Except for one thing, but you'll see.
