what finish is suitable for wooden bows , slingshots , stocks?
how do i apply it?
any health hazards?
drying time?
how does it turn out shiny and how matte  ?
maintainance needed?
any tip will be helpful

I've always used spar urathane in a spray can.  You can buy matte, semi gloss etc. Whatever floats your boat. I usually hang the bow by the top nock with fishing line. Let it fully dry between coats. Wipe with 0000 steel wool between. Some people swear by super glue. There are alot of options.

For that, I'd use food grade flaxseed oil. It's actually the same stuff as linseed oil, but it doesn't have the drying agents added. It's still cure, but it won't become as hard and it won't cause anything to catch fire. That's what I season my cast iron with.

My brother used vegetable oil on his osage longbows and I wipe down my flintlock with it after use. We also use tung oil, and linseed oil sometimes.
