Hey everyone! A local army surplus store was going out of business, so I went in on the last day, bought a German combat flecktarn uniform, and on my way out I spotted a very holy artifact. Buried in the free pile, There was a KATANA. The thing is a total of three feet long, and initial guess for the steel is either very high carbon stainless, or high carbon steel, most likely the latter because I had to remove some rust.It has no blade, just a rolled edge, probably for martial arts and/or exercise.

Yeah, those wall hangers have poorly fastened handles.

I had a cheap katana (with a decent handle) that I used as a machete, axe and all around chopping tool just to see how well it would hold up.

The blade was 440c (supposedly) and man, that thing would chop anything in its path.

Someone finally bent the blade and eventually it snapped.
