Speaking of gold glandes for a second and I know this is a bit off subject, I wonder how many people have been killed by a gold glande since the invention of the sling. Considering there are places where gold shows up as decent size nuggets on the ground, is it possible that at some point a caveman reached down, picked up a gold nugget and killed someone with it? Can you imagine? What a way to go.

Well the Aztecs were swimming in the stuff. Who knows, maybe some of them were killed by ceremonial gold glandes.

cavemen didn't have slings
They might have clubbed someone with a large gold lump, but alas not from a sling.

Why wouldn't they? I've read the sling was made before the bow in the Stone Age.
