I've found they work great but they have to be really dense. Basically on the verge of ice balls. If they are too powdery they might just disintegrate in the pouch. Even if they are compact they can split in the air as well. I had some great fun throwing them round a few weeks ago but the weather warmed up and the snow melted. Luckily it's turned again and the snow should soon be back Cheesy

If you.hit someone, yes. If they are ice balls, there is definitely opportunity to do some damage, depending on what you.hit.

Yeah I agree with vetryan. Nothing compared to a rock or a lead sinker of course but I think it would certainly sting and you better hope it isn't to the face.

Bonjour,
And it would be possible to add a drop of ''liquid colour' to the snow ball !

Hi from Nova Scotia!
Snowballs aren't bad ammo at all. If you get good pack snow it will fly a d they're easy to make.
You'll want a large soft pouch to throw with.
As for getting hit with them... Even a snowball thrown by hand hurts to the face.
I've only ever slung them lightly at people and they still seem to hit hard. Aim for the torso and throw light and everybody will get home safe lol

Some snow has fallen two weeks back but the temperature has risen and it's been hovering a few degrees above freezing this whole time, can't wait to try the snowballs out

Just tried to throw snowballs and they were pretty acurate and it was loads of fun trowing them far away only to see the dog run after it and then get confused because he cant find it
