Made a sling using splices...

Its been a while since I've spliced rope so I figured I'd make a spliced sling.





I plan on making a better one, seeing how that rope was crap.

Good idea.  I used to know how to splice, too.  Like you, I haven't done it in a LOOOOOOONNNNNG time.

I believe LBJ was in office when I learned and Tricky Dick was in the last time I actually did it.

Last time I did it was probably late 70s when I was a Boy Scout.

I remember a guy showing us "the trick" to getting it started, but after about an hour of fiddling around I just couldn't remember, or get it started right. Even after watching a bunch of videos it was still a little confusing. Also, getting the 3rd tuck in the right spot can be a little tricky, but once you do a few you will wonder why it seemed so difficult.

I'll do a tutorial in case anyone wants to give it a shot...now that I have relearned the proper method.
