Spinning target.

Gander Mountain stores have a variety of spinning targets like this one. They're meant for shooting practice, but with a little modification, do you think they could be good for slinging??

well you'd need to make the targets bigger.

But other than actually hitting it - don't see why not Smiley

There are two levels of targets, one is for rim fire and air guns, the other, much sturdier is for center fire handguns and rifles.

I think your target selection will depend on what you use for ammo.

If you are using large stones or fired clay, it might be better to get the more expensive center fire target.

The size wouldn't bother me as much as the fact that they are steel plates. If your going to be hitting targets that size you really need some good ammo. Steel plates will cause you to go through a lot of ammo as every hit on the target or the stand will shatter the ammo.  Here in the US you can get thick rubber 9 inch circle targets for about 20 bucks. Same idea though.

I'm with CA, the circles are too small for slinging... Unless you're super skilled.
That being said, couldn't you make a T frame and bolt a couple garbage can lids to the arms?

I just picked one up like this, but a variation of it. For the .22 I am working on a catch box, hockey net for behind it. Using my slingshot. I think if you had a net behind it, would be good to go.

This actually seems like a job for Timpa.  I'm pretty sure that if he puts his mind to it, he can come up with a great target.
