Here it is, my 2016's first knife.
Born this morning (it's 4.20pm now here) in a couple of hours of filing and grinding.
Inox steel, double edge, it has a small saw and a cutting "V" much needed when you're stuck in a fishing net and need to cut a lead wire with the smallest effort (the more you move, the more you get stuck).
Handle and scabbard will be made of plastic, probably a water pipe.
Still have to harden it, will do that in a month or so when it will be warm enough to work at the outdoor forge 

well if using a water pipe: ie hollow polypropylene, I'd be inclined to notch the tang and fill the pipe with low density epoxy and then jam the tang into the epoxy

Low density because you want it to float handle up if you drop it.
