Slingshot band life
Dec 11th, 2015 at 2:16pm

how many shots does it take the bands of your slingshot to wear off?
I use tappered flatbands , they wear off at the pouch connection quickly 60-200 shots. a pair of bands lasted  0 shots but i was pulling it at full draw several times for 5 days.
Is this normal?
Untappered bands last longer?
i use this way to attach bands to the fork and the pouch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRPTocVmeIA
And i just started to like slingshots Angry

Tapered bands actually reduce band life significantly.  But it adds power to those shots. I am not a physics major. I can't explain it. I use to b part of the slingshot forum,  lots of useful information,  but alot of trolls and such.  I don't keep county of the rounds I have put into mine, but it's alot. I have heard of up to 500 rounds being used.

All bands are not created equal
I got some bands from a guy in PA, TX and NY. The pennsy bands were the best. Think they were .052 thick.maybe noidea
Going to try tapered tbg next.
