The cliff base is covered with scree and fall-- no straight pacing or line practicable--so I would to fix the string to the target, then lift the string at target hight (say 1.6m off ground) to the point where I shoot. A faff and a half.

Just found that I had packed my Balearic sling-- as in sling made by a lady on I think Menorca, a real fibre bassetja: thin braided cord, rather improbable split pouch, quite long (right finger to outer edge of left shoulder) Took it for a spin, which is really the first time I went seriously shooting with it. The split pouch worked ok (don't like the way stones sometimes shift during spins, i.e. seat themselves a bit further in the split). Gratifyingingly, the first shot was on target; the thing shot slightly heavier stones than my usual (perhaps 120-150g), nicely, and also delivered good performance on distance shots.

Quite abrasive on the fingers, though.

Next time get some manual therapy before. I can tell you, your gonna sling like you never slung before (if you get a good therapist).

Last day's slinging. I'm afraid my shooting was all over the place, but the Balearic sling still give good service, this time shooting large stones (just under fist-sized). I remember Aussie telling me to stop shooting pebbles; this was fun.

Nice. I didn't realize you used a Balearic sling/style

I can see it. There is a large stone on the post that he hits I believe.

Nice shot Jaegoor!

I also really like this video of you and your friend Jaegoor doing a combo attack with sling and bow. Remind me to run the other way if I see you two hangin out in the woods  Grin

The stone was the aim. Not diane. it is an old trick. One aims at a very small aim. This stands before the real aim. One aims at the small one. The brain incorporates hit on the big aim in this visualise of the small aim. The Ergebniss.... one meets smaller aims much better.
