Hi , from Argentina

Hi,

I am from Argentina, and a few year ago I made a very simple braded sling and used it a few times during my holydays.
Some month ago I discovered the Peruvian slings and fell in love with them.

Lately a friend that went Cusco -Peru brought me one as a gift and after using it a few times I am really hooked with slinging. Smiley

Now I am starting to learn how to brade the Peruvian sling.
Last week we went to Salta that is the North part of my country an visited
The Pjacha Museum in Salta.

http://www.museopajchasalta.com.ar/

I was able to get in touch with Germán Cutipa that is a master in the art of braiding these type of slings.
I will try to upload the videos and photos as soon as possible

Best regards

Hello from the southeastern United States.  Welcome to the site.

That is an interesting museum.  If you can please post pictures of your slinging trips and adventures.

Hi Tom,
Gracias !!, you are right it is lot of work. I am just starting and it is quite difficult.

Bill Skinner

I am working on the videos I made of German working the wool and spinning the cord that he uses to make the slings and cords. (He is part of the museum staff)

I highly recommend anyone that is visiting Salta and wants to know more of these slings to try to contact German Cutipa.

here is photo of some brading samples he made
