Quarterly Sling Making Contest
Mar 28th, 2015 at 2:44pm

I was thinking it would be fun if every quarter we looked through the pictures of slings that have been posted within that quarter and have a poll on the best looking one. I've seen other sites that do this and figured it might be a fun addition to Slinging.org. Anyone interested?

There have been a lot of great slings lately- it would be hard for me to pick one but I could def make a top 3.

I guess I could start a poll in a new thread and we could give it a try.  If people want to take part they can and if no one ends up doing it then it was worth a try.

How about at least two catagories? First category be most artistic and the second could be most functional. For example I was going to nominate your green sling Walter because to me functional and simple slings are the most beautiful.  But separate catagories would be easier. Let me know what you think guys.

I think slings could be separated into 3 or 4 catagories IE: peruvian, sierra nevada, balearic, pcord/leather . We vote for the sling we like best in each catagory. A balearic with peruvian braiding should be in the peruvian group. A light weight balearic in the Sierra nevada group etc. just my op Smiley

I like that. I guess it depends how many slings of each category get submitted.

Without a doubt, my sisal balearicus horridus will take first place in the balearic catagory of ugliest sling this month Smiley Yet, it's a good heavy ammo sling noidea But, you will have to take my word for it Wink

This is morphy's deal, but (just my op) a poll at the end of each month might work.
