Yurek is one of those rare slingers who can get amazing accuracy with extreme speed. As such if you have to emulate someone he's probably one of the best to choose. The beauty of the sling though is those who get good spend years to get that way so don't be surprised if it takes awhile. You will get there I'm sure. Your probably already closer than you think.

The only think that would be helpful for your range Tomas would be to have a little bit heavier ammo, because it seems like your pulling the sling around, whereas you don't want to have to heavy ammo because then the sling will be pulling you. if you know what i mean
besides that, your style is just like his.

When I atempt to sling for distance and don't care much about accuracy, I use style that I learned from a Morrocan child.
Weight on right foot I turn away from the direction I want to shoot to and rotate pretty long sling vertically or allmost vertically. Than I transfer the weight to my left foot and throw sidearm. It actually resembles shot put technique.
(Is the description clear enough?)

JLasud also practices the turn away from the target when power-shooting needed.

Yep, slightly turning away from the intended direction, and a balearic style spin with the rotational plane facing pretty much the "target zone" , than a fast ,pronounced body rotation with a mid sidearm-overhand is what i use. I've mostly done distance slinging, and this is what i've come to so far.
Yurek, however is the master of distance slinging IMO. I've seen him sling in person, and he constantly accelerates the sling from the first windup to release. His stones fly ,like they have rockets in them

he constantly accelerates the sling from the first windup to release.
That's the key. If you look at his style he does his wind up holding his hand in the position it needs to be when he pulls into the pitch. So there is no loss of accelaration. I've experimented with his style... essentially blatantly copying a great style and it certainly works great for both power and accuracy.

Fig8 is very forceful but I find I use my lower half more with heli type slinging. I don't know whether its cause it gives me more time to use my lega while its spinning or what.
