Hello from Texas

Hi

I'm From Arlington Texas.  I teach an Outdoors/Bushcraft class on Mondays.  I'm new to the sling and a bunch of us made some from 550 cord and elk hide last Monday.

I'm pretty bad a slinging so far.  I'm hoping practice will prevail.  We will practice with racket balls at a local tennis court this upcoming Monday.

Hello from Alabama.  Glad to see you working with the sling.  Lots of guys teaching outdoors stuff mention the sling but either they mean the sling shot or they are just parroting someone's words.  A sling can be a decent tool or weapon, but not at first or without practice.

Hi, CV;
    Welcome to our site.  Be patient... the sling isn't an easy weapon to master.  Hopefully you'll teach us some Bushcraft.

I had some pretty good luck my first time slinging.  I hit my target at 25 yards within my first 5 throws!  I was throwing some very old eggs.  Very thankful to an old friend of mine who made my first one, and I have been making thousands of them ever since!
