And you certainly did lots of interesting experimentation to find how to make it work best. Keep the fun coming . I`m not sure any of your ways so far is better than the "middle of dart" release, though. But I can`t be sure because I have only done it that way.

Great video I am loving your use of a compression coupling.
Guys, this is a great way to affix a nail or spike to tubing or pipe without welding or soldering. It can easily be scaled up to larger pipe for heavy artillery cestros. I'm thinking some 1/2" black pipe with a timber spike chucked from a cestrosfustibalus.
I am not entirely sold on the ring method....I will have to try it for myself.

Safety officers and lawyers, two paying professions until the internet came along...

The ring requires a slippery rope. I tried five different types of rope, before I found the right. Be careful of sharp peaks with.
