Looking for ball bearings for slingshot ammo
Jan 22nd, 2014 at 7:52pm

looking for 5/16 or 3/8 ball bearings.
Have slings(leather covered balarics), and other things to trade. Would prefer to trade within USA, as shipping is VERY expensive.
I might use some of these with shotgun slings. would like to get more than 1,000 ball bearings.
i made that look like a craigslist post... lol
I have some interesting things to trade. I have a untanned deerhide with the fur on, and I could make a quiver for someone. I also make bows...
I have some ERC staves, and some real short osage.

You can buy 500 pachinko balls for around $35.

With a little dilligence I bet you can find a better deal.

I also shoot slingshots and we get ball bearings from this site http://www.royalsteelballusa.com/ .  You have to buy 25 pounds, but price not too bad even with shipping.  Beats the pachinko balls above.  Just be sure to tell them it is for sling ammo.

Steel or Lead ammo.  Steel is sold in 2# packs.  Lead is sold in 100 unit bags.

.38 calibre ball bearings are used for catapult ammo so pretty easy to get.

I've got a couple of bags upstairs I used when i was turning wooden solitaire sets Smiley

Not much good for slinging as they're too light.

For slinging I stripped the rubber coating off old computer mouse balls.
Got  a bunch of them around somewhere. If I ever find somewhere decent to do destruction testing I'll dig them out.

Here ya go: http://www.amazon.com/6-35mm-Steel-Bearing-Slingshot-Count/dp/B009S3HWGA/ref=sr_...

85 for $3.52 inc p&p
