TheSlingin-Injun, I suggest that you try making a Rockman.  It was the first split pouch sling that I ever made and I've been very fond of it ever since.  It's not that difficult to make, looks great, is accurate, fast, and easy to use, and is very versatile in that you can toss any size and shaped ammo within reason with it.  If you take the time to make a Rockman you won't regret it.
     One of the secrets of success in making a Rockman is to make sure that you cut all of the  lines that you're going to use extra long.  Almost all of us have, at least once, run out of line prior to completing our Rockman.  It's a very frustrating occurrence.

I thought I`ve seen every tutorial on the seekyee page, but this one I´ve missed. Especially I liked the version with the twist braid, so I tried it. It´s one of the simplest sling designs, all you need are two pieces of paracord, a lighter and scissors. The result is an amazing sling with a heavy stable split pouch and light single cords. What you're trying to do is get the leather to wrap around the cord so your stitching is not going to come in contact with the stones. I like to pull the stitching tight so that it stretches the leather over the cord. I like the way you can see the braid imprinted on the leather when it pulls tight. I recommend using a saddle stitch but you could use a simple loop stitch. Oh and buy something thicker than regular sewing thread you'll be happier for it
