I have just got back from the Bushmoot, which is the Bushcraft UK forum annual get-together in Wales. We were camped in woodland near Merthyr Mawl, past Cardiff.
As well as being kept busy on the atlatl and tomahawk have-a-go ranges, I taught two classes of Basic Slinging and one class of Advanced Slinging.
The basic slinging course was done in some nearby sand dunes that gave us a 360 degree backstop and easy ball retrieval. The ammo was tennis balls and the technique I taught was initially Helicopter but I changed to Balearic after the class got better results with it.
