Gien that there are two distance levels - what is and isn't allowed.
ie: what is a complex projectile and what is a non-complex projectile.
And why do we need two different distance awards ?
For the purposes of those merit awards, I defined a non-complex projectile as one that had no air-foil structures or devices designed to grant or add lift to the projectile. For instance, no darts (air foils), rings (basically is an air foil), disks (also one big air foil), or rocket propelled glandes (doubt this would be an actual problem, but you never know with modern slingers), etc.
However, I must admit that I'm starting to question whether or not it necessary to have two separate distance categories. The initial idea was to have them seperate so that one would be the "pure" distance category... You know, the one where you got to 400 meters just because you're just that good. The other category would be the one with the "wow" factor. Could you imagine;
C_A : "you're telling me you launched something 600 meters, LightSlinger?!"
LS: "yeah buddy! The first two hundred was all me, then the fuze hit that igniter, and Wooossh! 400+ meters like that!" *snaps fingers*
