I´m not sure if it has ever been posted, I found this page with some good articles about the Incas, the following passage caught my eye.

By Ciezo de Leon's own observation the extreme riches and expert stone work of the Inca were beyond belief: "In one of (the) houses, which was the richest, there was the figure of the sun, very large and made of gold, very ingeniously worked, and enriched with many precious stones....They had also a garden, the clods of which were made of pieces of fine gold; and it was artificially sown with golden maize, the stalks, as well as the leaves and cobs, being of that metal....Besides all this, they had more than twenty golden (llamas) with their lambs, and the shepherds with their slings and crooks to watch them, all made of the same metal. There was a great quantity of jars of gold and silver, set with emeralds; vases, pots, and all sorts of utensils, all of fine gold....it seems to me that I have said enough to show what a grand place it was; so I shall not treat further of the silver work of the chaquira (beads), of the plumes of gold and other things, which, if I wrote down, I should not be believed."

Hey Mauro, I appreciate the concern. I´ve been fine, but haven´t been slinging much or doing anything primitive lately. But I do read the forum even If I only post sporadically.

“Y así dicen que salieron vestidos de unas mantas largas y unas a manera de camisas sin collar ni mangas, de lana, riquísimas, con muchas pinturas de diferentes maneras, que ellos llaman tocabo [tocapu], que en nuestra lengua quiere decir “vestido de reyes”, y que el uno de estos señores sacó en la mano una honda de oro y en ella puesta una piedra, y que las mujeres salieron vestidas tan ricamente como ellos e sacaron mucho servicio de oro.”

Roughly translated to:

"And it is said that they came out wearing some long tunics; others were similar to a shirt, minus the collar and sleeves, made out of the finest wool with many different patterns, which they called a tocabo (tocapu); in our language it means "garment of kings". And one of these lords pulled a gold sling in his hand with a a stone in the pouch; and the women came out dressed as richly as them and presented many pieces of gold cutlery."

The gold is similar in weight to the lead, i think can be some type of embroidery in gold... the natives could do make threads of gold or need hi tech?
