Video: Point of View Slinging
Dec 8th, 2012 at 10:59pm

I strapped a video recorder to the side of my motorcross helmet and slang away! It makes me think of how slinging in a video game from a first perspective angle would look like. This video can be watched in HD too!

POV video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaORr0Gkigk

I will still be posting weekly videos, however, the next few are going to be POV videos similar to this one, so I won't be announcing them on the forums. If you would still like to see them, you can subscribe to my youtube channel or send me a pm!

I will be posting more videos in slow motion and various techniques from heaps of different angles in a few weeks! There are a few videos of slinging into a lake with the sunset which is really quite beautiful  Wink

Thank you Jauke for mentioning it wasn't working!

Very Sorry, I had the video on a scheduled release and for no apparent reason it glitched up. I have placed the video on public so there should not be any problems!

Very sorry!

It works now!

That does look very cool. I always thought about doing that, but I did not have the right camera for it. Really fun to watch.

Very Cool man, I've always thought a GoPro slinging vid would be cool. Nice slinging.

Fine!
I also made a similar video, but it did not work so well.
I am ready for construction, which I can throw the camera. But maybe I look forward to the spring.

Yes, I tried this with a regular camera strapped to a helmet and it did not quite work. You are throwing the camera?!?! Can't wait, film and upload it soon!

lol love the way the fisheye perspective makes your sling look about 8 feet long.

Next you want one on a stick so that it sits about 3 feet back from your head and shows your whole body Thumbs Up

LOL.  I don't think I could sling with a motocross helmet on!  I can barely do it without my sling getting snagged on my tactical vest!

I didn't think so either, but it didn't really interfere with me at all. However, if I placed the camera up on the top of the helmet... well lets just say I didn't realize how close to my head I sling in helicopter style.

Here's part two of the videos, I won't bother making a second thread about it.
