An introduction...
Oct 15th, 2012 at 4:03am

Alrighty, greetings and salutations to all the Slingers out there!
My name is Jonathan, I'm about 38 years old and I picked up Slinging as a hobby around last June.  I ran into slinging.org while trying to find information on how to make a sling, and I'm really glad I did.
Since last June I've made numerous different kinds of slings and I gotta be honest.. I think I like making them almost as much as I like throwing stuff with them.  Later, maybe ill post up some pics of some that I've done.
   Anyway, that's me!

Happy Slinging everyone.

Welcome from Atlanta, GA! I'm in the same boat as you, I bring bailing twine to parties because I like making slings so much... Awe, who am I kidding? I bring twine everywhere. Wink

Massi - WTF? It's called a sling. You use it to throw rocks farther and faster than you could otherwise. That's all.

Hello from Alabama.  Making slings is fun, wait until you start building slings for specific types of ammo, you will know you're hooked then.

Yep, already there.  I even carry para cord and crafting twine with me to work (since there are often long periods of boredom there) so that I can try to make custom pouches.  I'll probably take some pics and post 'em later today.  I've made different kinds of ammo too, but nothing as involved as, say, casting my own lead glandes.  I have a limited workshop and time for that kind of thing so I generally stick to throwing tennis balls, racquet balls and rusty's sling balls.  Every so often I can get out to the range and sling a bucket of golf balls.  I did recently think up a new type of sling for launching golf balls, but we'll talk about that in another post...  Hehehe [/quote]
