I live in the woods and have a pretty big stache of rocks I use for target slinging.

I may only sling a handfull of rocks or I might get locked into the "just one more" loop. Luckily I got 5 acres out in the sticks with alot of flint and river rock. If I aint pickin'em I'm flickin'em.

Once in a long while. I rarely have time to get out, and when I do it's for a run to stay in shape/wake me up. I might start slinging a bit more often, because I found a place to sling at within running distance. Otherwise I haven't done any slinging since 3 months ago when I was at Lake Tahoe (big lake on the CA/NV border, popular vacation hotspot).

My job is next to an open field as well, and I try to sling a couple stones a day there. On the weekends I explore different locations and have longer slinging sessions.

Reply #11 - Sep 30^th, 2012 at 5:14pm I used to sling on a daily basis, but since I've moved there hasn't been a lot of areas for me to sling except by a service road, but that area is very limited and I have to sling well close to the ground to prevent me from hitting a house or launching a stone into a highway.

Generally once every few months, and whether I can get ammo, I found a tree with some big green walnuts the other day, so I spent some time slinging a couple handfuls of those into the river next to campus.

In summer I usually sling around 3 times a week, usually up to 2 hours. In autumn or spring on average once a week, depends on the amount of work I have. In winter the amount of work usually increases quite a lot and therefore I usually sling once a month.
