I was about to suggest nesting progressively shorter pieces of bamboo to increase the strength but tinmann beat me too it. As far as a bundle bow goes, I'd think that bamboo would be better than other materials as you can nest it so much more easily.

The bundle bow is still on my to do list

@Bikewer, Yup I agree the arrows are to heavy, but thats because I made them myself from branches, I will try to make them thinner.

Also, soon I will have carbon arrows so can't wait to try those out.

Instead of making a "true" bundle bow, just do what tinmann suggested. It's essentially an improved bundle bow, only you'd be nesting the split bamboo instead of lashing together multiple clylinders thus giving it an even but more powerful curve. Smiley

I really like the fact that your quiver strap is a sling Smiley

It was very easy to make, it took me about 30 minutes I think
I also made the braceheight shorter, now it's more powerful than before.

Yeah I didn't have any other rope so I thought an old sling would do the job.
The quiver is not the best though, I made it a bit to fast and didn't put much attention into it
I use a different quiver now

You gotta get a good draw weight model built up- easy to build is great- just gotta make it strong enough to use!

Yep. A bow without an arrow is just an evenly bending stick. The arrow is a big componenet in effecient archery.

Cool! I have some pieces of split bamboo lying around from a failed project that I couldn't bear to throw away. Now I know what to attempt with them!
