Back in "The Old Days" lots of cars and most trucks had CB Radios and could communicate with each other. It was a very popular passtime to broadcast the location of "Smokey" to other drivers. "Smokey" frequently had a CB Radio also and would sometimes get on the line and let you know that he saw you. I haven't used one in quite some time so I don't know if they're still popular. Think "Smokey and the Bandit", or "Cannonball Run". Grin

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I usually warn other drivers of speed traps. I would much rather have my tax dollars spent fighting real crime and keeping impaired drivers off of the road. I am always appreciative of the drivers that give me the “heads up” so I return the favor in the spirit of “Do unto others”.

I agree with Scoteeball. If I give warning it does that and also makes the speeders slow down. Win win situation.

I drive a lot in my job, everyday. I come to know where the police used to stand. I try to keep the speed limits as good as I can, but sometimes I take a chance and drive a little faster then allowed. I have had my driving licence for 22 years now.
About two years ago I was caught ( first time and so far only) . I drove 37 km/h where it was 30. That costed me 2200 sek. It was a "civil police car" and suddenly I just saw that blue lamps behind me and they wanted me to stop. That chock still hang in me.
But still. I don´t warn others I am still the opinion that the ones that drive too fast is doing it on own risk.
It really makes me angry tho, that it´s so d--mn much money involved that it makes so good buisness...

I'll have to say they 99% of the time I'll warn driver's there's a speed trap ahead. The whole idea behind them is to slow driver's down in the first place, so I figure why not let folks know there's a speed trap ahead.
