Hey folks hope you are all well
First off I just wanted to say that I haven't gone AWOL.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get out practicing as much as I hoped. My old man suffers from Parkinsons and he has been worse over the past couple of months so we have been spending as much time as possible helping our mum look after him.
I have taken the advice given to me and started with the tennis balls in the barn. After a few weeks I made some cement rounds up and boy what a big difference.
I have been practicing with the beautiful sling Pikaru made for me and what a joy it is to use.
I did get a chance to make up a few very simple slings and take them with me to one of the bushcraft meets I arrange. We had a great time using them and trying to get the techniques right. I think i got a few converts there

.
I know the road ahead is a long one but at least my feet are firmly planted on it now.
I took some photos that I will try to get up soon.
I started a new wood/bushcraft forum and on the main picture is one of the simple slings we made up. ( Mods Please remove if the link is not allowed).
