PA Sling Meet
May 11^th, 2012, 9:57pm

So, benkolmer and I are meeting a Pinchot park in south central Pa this coming ~~friday (18th),~~ mid day. Any slinger is welcome to come. If you do, bring ammo. It's going to be pretty great and one of the very few modern day sling meets, ever. If you would like to participate, respond here or send me a pm for more details.

Changing the sling meet to Thursday 1-3pm due to a scheduling conflict!

Everything else is the same.

I'm free most of mid summer (at least right now) so I'm sure we'll try to get at least one more in. This meet and future meets will be at the south west side of Pinchot lake.

The Sling meet went pretty great. It's nice to put a face to a name. I forgot my camera but to summarize: Most of the time we slung tennis balls and raquet balls at a concrete wall, and we also did some distance throwing with clay glands into the lake. We also explained slings and slinging to a very interested menanite family, and Ben showed me his 'survival' atlatl.

We should definteily schedule a NE meet in the same location further in the future so everyone can plan for it. I like Slingingrat's idea of an all day thing, the 2 hours flew by.

Just so I know, with a show of ~~hands~~ posts, who would genuinely open their schedule to make it.

Right now I am thinking the last weekend (25th or 26th) in August but I can change to accomodate others schedule
