Hi all
 
I became a member here a year ago or so but after a while I became pretty much inactive because I had too much stuff on my mind.
A new house, the birth of my third child, being a member of 5 social networks and 12 forums and still trying to find time for hobbies.
 
Time to make some changes around here, because everytime I go to bed and close my eyes I still see that computer screen
So now I only visit a few forums inluding this one and since I have'nt posted for over a year I thought it might be a good idea to re-introduce myself.
 
My name is Ralph, 31 years old and I'm from Holland and a proud father of 3 daughters and I am a typical history geek, spending my time reading books on greek mythology, watching movies like Troy and Beowulf and since a few weeks i'm even studying Anglo Saxon.
 
I started slinging a few years ago with simple slings and I have succesfully made my first braided sling with natural fibers thanks to one of the tutorials on this website which works good but it's too small and thick for me, so I'm planning on making a new one. I have been realy hooked on slinging and slings since I found this site so that I would one day return was only a matter of time.

Welcome back.  When you make your own cordage, it is amazing how much you need to make a sling.  My first came out very short also.
