Yes, I was kidding. And what can I find you article on Anna Yegorova? Is there something on the net? What can you tell me about her?
Thanks,
Mauro.

seriously, such a place exists ?
I could have some fun there Smiley

As far as slinging in a forest goes - it just takes practice and the ability to adapt your slinging styles and sling lengths to your current environment. Most people tend to find one or two styles that suit them and stick with that. Then when they are somewhere those styles don't suit - they claim slinging in such a place is impossible.  It most likely isn't, just needs different technique.

Bear in mind that hunting slings are generally fairly short, around 2 feet and that you would either use specialist ammunition (I would anyway) or quite substantial rocks. The idea of hunting larger mammals with a sling would be more about  crippling or disabling an animal so you could catch it and dispatch with a knife or club, rather than kill it outright.
So brutal and messy - but that's pretty much any kind of hunting.

I've got a sneaking suspicion you're a good bit older than mauro thinks - but who knows.

I'm 28.  If that's a "good bit" older than Mauro thinks, so be it.  It's probably older than he is anyway.

Edit: 3 years older in point of fact.  Oh well, maybe it wasn't meant to be.

Do not worry, between me and my first love (well, the first serious one - pshysically speaking) there were 32 years apart.
Ah the good old days when everything was about running our scooters and getting drunk at gigs  Cheesy

Ok for the marriage. The question is: are you, My Beloved One, skillful enough to sling the bouquet?
Mauro.

Not today, I'm not.  I had a pretty horrible slinging day.  It was ugly.  I couldn't hit a 3ft by 3ft set of concrete blocks at further than 20 yards.  Normally, I'm much better than that.

Darn, and a girl's hand is significantly smaller than a concrete block... oh well!

Buy the way, how much is 20 yards in paces? Because I also sling against these concrete blocks, at a distance of 40 paces! (and hit them 2 times in the whole past summer - I'd better return fishing).
Mauro.

It depends on your pace size.  For me, 20 yards is probably 35 paces or something like that.

Hey just imagine how expensive would be a bride dress that's fit a concrete block  Cheesy

PS Caldou, have you given my e-mail to a certain Hervé, by chance? He asked me info about Picenian stuff during the 2nd Punic War, it somehow flattered me  Grin

Nothing, in fact I'm training hard at the swimming pool in order to swim across the Ocean and meet her - what girl could resist such a proof of love? Grin
Hell... at this rate I could be ready in a few decades!

That's right! Just let me build the replica of an ancient kayak  Cheesy
BTW I believe that this topic is going to be the longest of the introduction section, a true honor for our new member.

I would never waste a dress that expensive on concrete.  It's a crime.

Maybe...just maybe...on days when I'm not slinging or doing cool primitive skills I might have a bit of an obsessive-compulsive desire to watch Say Yes to the Dress.  Maybe.  But not Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta, I hate that one.

I was thinking of reproducing an ancient kayak to sail/paddle from the Bering Straight down to South America, to recreate the new theories of human dispersal into the Americas.  Sort of like the Kon Tiki but with a greater need for upper arm strength and probably higher odds of an untimely death.
