OK, so suddenly most of the youtube vids I used to watch and all of my photobucket vids won't play anymore.  I wanted to post a couple of   new videos of Kali and Odin playing in the Pines last weekend.  I'm told I need the new version of the Adobe flash player.  So I download it successfully but still no vids.  So I go back and delete the old version, #10 and reinstall #11 and still no dice.  It tells me that the download was successful but I'm still not able to see my videos.  Any suggestions?

We've had trouble with the "auto installer".... Have you tried downloading the file directly from the Adobe site?

Yep, try that. Also make sure that everything is installing correctly. Go to 'programs and features' from the control panel if you're running Vista or 7. Also, what browser are you using? Google Chrome, my personal favorite, comes with flash support. No need for add ons.

Try a virus scan too. Sometimes weird things happen when you have them, even if the true nature isn't revealed (normally viruses work to partial screw up your computer, before telling you to buy some random 'antivirus' to remove it. Of course you'll just get your money stolen...).

Getting Google Chrome is a good idea, because it will let you test if it's a problem with your browser not communicating with your flash player. Before you do that, though, restart your computer once and try again. That can fix a lot of problems, as will a good virus scan.

clear your browser caches (all your browsers even the ones you don't use).
Make sure you are using the latest version of firefox and at least version 8 of internet explorer.

uninstall flash, restart the computer and reinstall flash.

Should work.
