Which Saints do you pray to when you enter those knitting contests?  Some of those girls can be pretty tough.  A little metaphysical help might be welcome.  Saint Le Yarn?

If I enter a knitting contest, it would be St Rita, Patroness of lost causes Tongue
Other contest where I would have a bit more chance to stand my ground, I pray Holy Me. And then I blame Hime to be so incompetent !

There is one "group" of saints I can't stand : St $, and his friend, St £ and St €, they have way too much follower, they tend to think they are allmighty.
To all of those who don't take God too seriously : If you have near you some one who constantly repeat "Oh my god ! ".. Try replying each time "Yes ? I'm right here". It gives you a nice egoboost and it keeps him/her from too many repetition Tongue

Sounds like I need to pray for her influence when I'm trying to lose weight.  That's usually a lost cause.......

I'm not big on organized relgion, either, but tend to be intolerant of those religions whose actions are at odds with their stated beliefs or where either conflicts with what I consider ethical behavior.

Yes, for example I'm opposed to any religion that denies people, especially children, modern medicine, especially when it's desperately needed.

I have absolutely no issue with people choosing to deny themselves modern medicine - I consider it incredibly sad, and want it to stop, but wouldn't want to actively get in the way of it*. However, denying modern medicine to children is flat out neglect, and really needs to be criminalized - you aren't just allowed to let your child die for any other reason, and there doesn't need to be an exception here.
