Hillfort slinging sunday 4th march

Right we've got a date and bunch of hill forts near junction 15 of the m4.
meeting up around 11:30 - no idea where yet.

So if there are any english slingers out there who can make it, please let us know so we can add you to the day's plans

This is all in aid of pete's university work on hillfort design (I think lol)

I believe we'll be trying to see how slingers worked in hillforts and how the changing design of the ramparts effected both the defenders and the attackers.

If that's wrong pete please correct me

So the more bodies we can deploy the better

Im currently in Nottingham and if anyone was passing down (from the north) Id be up for jumping in aswell. If its easier to get to somewhere else first, I can look at the times and prices of trains, and hopefully see if I can be of any use lol Nemo

Not much point driving 120 miles to stand around in the rain
