So, just to show you how inhistorical our culture is and how little knowledge they have on slinging, I got my yearbook back today and after listings of interest as "Martial arts, tactical shooting, Primitive archery" is then followed by "singing" because they thought "slinging" was a typo.

My reaction was somthing like Huh

and then back to

as I realized my interests' including singing were still much cooler than the interest of the others in my grade.

So true, I was at the beach last week and I used my sling as a belt to hold my knife (RAT 5).

You pick up all sorts of "trash" to turn into targets.
You have sling targets lying around everywhere. Even though you will never be able to use them all up.
You end friendships with people who say slinging is useless.

You are invited to Madame Zingara, a REALLY posh event where the rich and upmarket people go. You take your sling with. You find a way of smuggling it past casino security. While you are standing at the bar you realize there are 1000's of perfectly round,white pebbles lying around as decoration. You spend half of the show (including the parts of the show that feature a female contortionist and a knockout of a woman in a body sock dancing in a bath full of water from 5m away) working how you would have hit the 1.2m wide clockface, 25m high on the clocktower from 35m away
