Glass Slingshot?
Aug 28th, 2011 at 9:27am

Here's a slingshot I made a while back. Gonna put on some heavy duty flatbands for varmint hunting. Smiley 1 oz (28g) lead sinkers and head-shots at close range will do the trick.

Looks like a great job of glass-cutting; what did you use?    Hope you don't whack the thing with one of your projectiles... Could get messy.

Looks like a cool idea. What kind of glass did you use?How thick is it? How did you cut it and shape it?

I've  been trying to make a glass knife for a while now. I've broken several ofthem during the cutting process. Since you look like you've mastered the technique, could you help me?

That can't be glass, can it?  The grain doesn't match up with the wood underneath.  Huh

Haha Thunder Chief caught on, yeah it's not glass it's hardwood. Morphy caught on at first but then haha. Good illusion ain't it? Sorry for pulling your legs guys, just wanted to see how good the illusion was. No hard feelings? Cheesy For real glass looking slingshots, most slingshot enthusiast will use perspex. But heavy bands are not advisable. Wink

It can be, depending on the brand name and how it's made. Perspex is just another brand name for clear acrylic, like plexiglass.

Massi - WTF? It's called a sling. You use it to throw rocks farther and faster than you could otherwise. That's all.

Aww crap. Sad  was hoping to learn some really cool glass cutting technique. I feel robbed. Snookered. Suckered. Taken. Worked over. (and it's not even tax season! Cheesy)

Good joke! And a good-looking slingshot, too.
