And here are the points I made up today,
...
...

I have made all but the two big ones and 2 of the little ones in both pics into necklaces to sell at a market I go to, and that's actually today, it's 1:00am thursday here....gotta hit the sack!

You made some very good points in this post. Cheesy  I like that gray-and black rock you used in the first pic.

I have thought about it, but I am not making a lot of large ones due to the materials that I have on hand and most of them would be bird point size as far as the stone points go.  The glass ones I could make for hunting but stone is better for hunting as glass ones will break on contact with bone, (so will obsidian points,) and that isn't good if you missed a lethal area.

"Bird" point were actually used to hunt deer. http://archaeology.about.com/cs/lithics/a/thepoint.htm There may still be a market for using your small points to hunt with.

I suspect that as a curiosity necklace luke will get a lot more money that ahunter would be willing to pay for a single arrow point.

Those are works of art Smiley

you thought about making the smaller ones into earrings ?
Now they would probably sell very well.

I agree entirely. I know a lot of people who would buy glass or stone arrowhead earrings in a heart beat. I'd even consider piercing an ear and wearing one, and I normally dress very conservatively*.

Be cautious hunting with those points .... some states require a wide broadhead in order to cut a bleedout channel. In Texas it is 7/8" with at least two cutting edges. YMMV depending on your state. In Nebraska a sharpened hunting head with
a blade of at least 7/16-inch cutting radius from the center of the arrow shaft

Not that your points were by any means bad before, but I can see a big improvement.  Your skills are becoming quite honed.  These latest points are very professional looking.  Nice work.

obsidian and glass are great for hunting even if they do break you just get another sharp edge and they keep penetrating.

Thanks for all the comments.  All the ones I didn't keep from that lot are all now sold, basically all the ones along the top 2 rows.  I think around here it is 7/8 in. wide and 1 1/2 in. long but I will have to check that.  You can hunt small game with something smaller though.  I can certainly  make points large enough for deer hunting though.
I will be making more up this week and posting pics.

I've thought about making up some earrings but I haven't gotten a good design figured out yet.
