Late at night when my daughter wakes for whatever reason and can't get back to sleep this is the...what shall I call it...the waking nightmare I am subjected to. Even as a kid I despised shows like sesame street and barney. My feelings for them have not improved with age either.

My daughter liked Barney much longer than her friends did. To our credit my wife and I never belittled Barney while she still enjoyed him. We were delighted when she outgrew and consequently turned on Barney. Then we could all slam him together. What a dork! Although I can appreciate where you're coming from, Morphy, I don't put Sesame Street and Barney in exactly the same category. When I watch Barney I'm embarrassed for and want to punch him at the same time.

Edit: never mind. I looked it up and read how to view the thing. Really, I'd never heard of this. I'm not entirely at home in the virtual world.

If you look at that blue shag carpet the right way you will see a 3-d image pop out at you. It's really quite cool. Get about 3-4 feet from your computer screen. Make sure your not looking at an angle to the screen, like up at it or down...just straight on. Then focus on a spot about 6 inches in front of the actual picture but keeping the picture in your vision. You will notice it start to merge and want to pop out at you. If you do it right you will see a 3-d ship clear as day. Once you get the knack you can get your eyes to do it in a split second. Try it if you want. It's pretty cool.

The instructions I got were to put my nose on the center of the screen and increase the distance until the image popped out. I seem to have a philosophical issue with the non-physical world, like the kiddies who "build" stuff in gmod or Phun.

That said, it is nicely done.
