Hola, compañero.
Unos videos estupendos. Menuda fiesta, como me hubiese gustado estar. Las fotos de la honda de pita en el hilo Balear, ¿eres tu el artesano? ¿Por casualidad estás en PaleoForo? Salu2 desde Barna.

Hello Aussie

Thank you very much for your Welcome. I hope to be useful sharing the little what I know about sling uses and tradition from my country.

Perhaps, it seems a hackneyed subject for you, but I love boomerang throwing too much. I have break and lost a few Smiley

Best Regards.

Hola Aurelio

Hello Aurelio

The videos are very good, but unluckily I wasn't there.
The pic of the Agave fiber sling its not mine, it appears a few post before in the same thread. It is Justgoerge's pic. A very well made sling.
No, I am not in Paleoforo.

Greetings from Cádiz.

Hello everybody

A few years ago I found this web. And searching I found it again.

I have seen the last pic here in this forum. But I don't know if you have seen all.

http://www.nodo50.org/despage/Nuestra%20Historia/guerra%20civil/bombas%20con%20h...

It says:

The scarcity of resources in the civil war by the republican side made them use "household methods" in order to face the enemy who took part in the coup.

Then the dynamite was thrown with slings by specialists that time ago used them to keep and lead the cattle in the country.

The pics are from the magazine Crónica of the year 1936.

Send by Azkárraga, November 2006.

Pic 1: Group of greandiers of the ones specialized in throwing bombs with slings.
Pic 2: The chief of a grenadier group.
Pic 3. An expert grenadier of the ones who throw projectiles with sling with a wonderful security and accuracy.

(Excuse me for my terrible English)

I forgot to say something before that is very important. I am here whising to learn from everybody.

Best regards.
