just like it says up top,  me I would say self sharpening,  indestructible,  and have an electic tip for an option haha instead of a stun gun,  have a stun on the tip of the knife

Something like a Swiss or Scandinavian super-smartphone with a cutting laser beam and the apps to make fire and sterilize water.

Not to be a killjoy, but knives have hardly changed the last centuries, I don´t expect a lot of change in the future. Most modern gadges have turned out to be impractical. Maybe some improvement in material.

Hard to improve basic function; we know pretty much all there is to know about blade shape and cutting angles and all that.
So...Materials.   Science-fiction authors have speculated about advanced materials that could reliably hold an edge down to the scale of one molecule.
Obsidian fractures to one molecule, and can be very sharp, but it's also very brittle and short-lived.

An advanced material that could hold such an edge would be pretty cool.

Massi - WTF? It's called a sling. You use it to throw rocks farther and faster than you could otherwise. That's all.

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.&&&&Remember - You are unique.............just like everybody else.

Yes, improvement in the blade material is what I see.  Maybe something not even metal, like a knife made from some genetically engineered mutant spider's silk, or mutant muscle glue.. something much lighter than steel and infinitely sharper.

concentrated plasma manipulated by way of electromagnets. so yeah, lightsabers. Or some sort of boring synthetically created reinforced crystaline blade sorta thing that nobody wants because we were promised lightsabers so many generations before.
