Good Luck charms (Read 1143 times)

Mine is either my bandana that I wore when I killed my first black bear n moose, or a slate eskimo uluaq(ulu 'woman's knife") that I found, or a mini sling that I have made. Idk Im thinking my mini sling its smaller than either the bandana or the slate knife, yeah i like the mini sling it feels lucky

Anything more than a penny I take it anyway. If it is a lucky coin I put it in my left pocket and leave it there for the day. I have a "lucky" half dollar that I keep in the ashtray of my Samurai.

Yea I did a bunch of research before I hung it up. Most say to hang it open end up, but there are cultures that say the other way so the luck spills down on you or something like that.

I have a charm or two ive been known to carry, but not necessarily lucky, more to make me keep going throughout the day, the first is a coin with a piece of scripture on it, i unfortunately havent seen that coin since i moved rooms. The other is a homemade rune made of clay in the shape of uruz, the elder futhark rune for strength.

edit: recently found the coin stated above, and the scripture is Isiah 40:31 "They that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings as eagles."

its the little things that get us through the days i suppose
