I practiced for more than an hour every day for years. Violin, mostly classical. Almost went to be a professional musician.

I've played guitar since the mid-70s. Had a bit of a layoff some years ago, but building and playing cigar-box instruments like this one:

Has re-kindled my interest in playing regular guitar as well. Just bought a new one recently, a Yamaha electric-acoustic job.

In addition to the resonator guitar, I've built banjos, ukuleles, and a mandola.

I like "roots" music; blues, bluegrass, Americana....
