About the last place on earth I would expect to see this kind of thing.  Seems an interesting project

And they (will?) have a trebuchet amongst other things.

I've always wanted to make one myself.  I really want to make a trebuchet sometime, just looking for a nice simple small design and am planning to build it out of timber.  Cool stuff, I want to go!

I've been to a few genuine medieaval castles but I'd love to see one being built with the traditional techniques.

Wonder if they're going to use the treadmill cranes. Now that was a lousy job !

I happen to know one of the blacksmiths working there.  I would really like to make a trip and see the thing being built.

Luke, here's a link to plans for a smallish trebuchet. http://www.tasigh.org/ingenium/medium.html They also have plans for a smaller, tabletop-sized, one.

And a link to a castle being built using traditional methods in France. http://www.guedelon.fr/index.php?lg=en
