Hondero's input is first class, but Norton gave me a hazard warning on this one.

Massi - WTF? It's called a sling. You use it to throw rocks farther and faster than you could otherwise. That's all.

I like this Mexican sling. A lot of the Peruvians look more for decoration than function.

Among the North American slings there is on labeled Mescalero Apache, flat leather pouch with leather cords, which shows that
our
Apache slings is not necessarily a very typical Apache sling type.

i'm giving it a guess, the cord is some type of flax (too fuzzy for that though) or sisal (to darkly colored as well). the pouch looks like it's braided using an 8 strand squaricle-flat braid (done the same with with the 5 strand, but now with 8) lol.

That Mexican Sling Is "Beautiful" ! I think out of all the Sling's shown on the Museum Web-Site "I like the Mexican Style Sling's the Best", Out of all the Sling making tutorial's I've never seen the Mexican Style Sling's being made, It would be Real Nice If some of our "Most Skilled Sling maker's on Slinging.org could make copy's these Mexican Sling's, I'd sure like to add this Sling to my Collection !

That has to be the best collection of slings that I have ever seen on this site. That was just Great!!! I am amazed at the amount of work that went into most of the slings shown. They are real masterpieces. Thanks.
