any pics - roman leather from that period tends to be few and far between and generally a bit 'dog eared' lol

Roman fort in the peak distraict eh ?
this country is riddled with old forts lol

I second C_A's question. Are there any pics of the Sling, or failing that an online Source for the entire article??????

I also noticed that the gent in question seems to be a textile expert, so maybe we actually have the remnants of a woven and braided sling from the roman period, (DROOLING)
