i admit it was a little lopsided, but aside from my roomate Stephen (who had an off day) none of the participants are regular slingers. Steve from Ramona (forgot to get his last name!) was an excellent shot. he barely missed the 20X target by an inch like four times! and he said he hadn't used a sling in 20 years! he bought one from me and said he'll start practicing. uh oh
Chad had never picked up a sling in his life and had real trouble even getting his shots to go in the right direction, but once he did his first good cast totally nailed the small target! he admits he was aiming elswhere, but still! i had a pretty bad first round for me. i guess i just find it difficult to throw from that close. all in all, it was a great time and everyone had a blast. terrain permitting, we plan on having these every time we do an atlatl event. in the meantime i'll keep posting scores from i and my roommates. i'd love to see some from other members as well.
