heres a small hoko knife
made from a deer leg bone and a razor sharp obsidian blade,thats  hafted with pitch and some deer sinew around the top

I've always loved ulu knives! I gotta ask, if you were making a glass/stone/bone knife to actually use as a primitive utility knife how would you shape the blade? I was thinking your basketmakers look like some pretty handy little knives.

Forgive me if this was already asked.. I'm too lazy to go back and read all 13 pages.  How do you make the bone blades.  They don't appear to be knapped.  How do they compare to the stone  blades like obsidian in sharpness and durability?  Until I saw these I never considered making a knife from bone could be viable.

A command decision has been made. I won't be happy again until I learn how to knap. I'm going to buy the stuff necessary and learn to do it.
