xxkid123 Past Moderator Hallo, ich heiße kartoffel Posts: 4798 Gender:	sling belt Jun 11^th, 2009, 5:12pm how do oyu make a sling belt? i've heard it millions of times in several different posts, but never in a large topic. does someone know how to make it? or a link? if so please reply.

Posts: 731 Gender:	Re: sling belt Reply #1 - Jun 11^th, 2009, 5:57pm all you do is take the relese cord, run it throught youre belt loops (if you have them), run the relese cord through the finger loop,tie it, and run the extra ether through youre belt loops or tie it off at the end off somewhere

My first knot book was "The Morrow Guide To Knots." I actually don't know any ABOK numbers... but I know a lot of ABOK knots...

Of course!

"The Complete Book of Knots" by Geoffrey Budworth
"The Complete Book of Decorative Knots" by Geoffrey Budworth
"The Handbook of Knots" by Des Pawson
"The Morrow Guide to Knots" (this was my first knot book) by Mario Bigon and Guido Regazzoni
"The Book of Outdoor Knots" by Peter Owen
"The Book of Camping Knots" by Peter Owen
"The Book of Decorative Knots" by Peter Owen

I'm very partial to the Des Pawson book because it is very informative, has nice pictures, and above all has a great variety of knots.
The Budworth books are indispensable.

You will find a lot of overlap/redundancy among knot books. Each will have a certain core group of knots, but then each will have a few selections that the others don't have. So you have to get them ALL! Cheesy

Which one would be a good starter then?

The Handbook of Knots by Des Pawson. Start with that one. Definitely.
