And a leather sliding finger loop is easily the most comfortable way of using a sling.

What i do these days is a lot simpler than the stitching and glueing of the original cap paul system.
I cut a simple length of leather. Round ends. Punch a smallish hole both ends cord goes through the shiny side at one end, back though the rouhg side. Tie and melt a single knot. Job done. See the pics of the sling I sent blue raja for pics

The grommets will work, but don't have the strength of the rivets.

I only move them slightly, but it's difficult to explain in what direction, as I use the force to get the perfect placing It's also important to stretch the pouch after riveting, don't use too stiff a leather either.
