Anyone else with weird text problems in Firefox?

Maybe it's a Mac-related problem. I dunno. But at home, I use a PC and I don't have any problems, but at work on a Mac the text window does weird things, and the longer a line of text becomes, the more the cursor gets lost among ghost characters, and if there was a typo, it's almost impossible to drop the cursor where it is desired.

Has anyone else seen this problem, and does anyone know what causes it? I think I also tried using Netscape on the same Mac with the same problem, but I don't remember for sure.

macs - good for filling up trash cans and using as doorsteps not much good for anything else

I occasionally lose the cursor bar in firefox. but never had any other problems.
Can you get a working version of Opera for macs ?
if so try that.
Used to use it on my linux based zaurus (before I gave up buying and breaking wifi cards). Good bit of kit.

I just loaded the newest Firefox on my Mac Mini running OSX 10.3.9 and it happened just now, as I toggled away from Slinging to call up About This Mac, and then came back here. That's when it seems to happen - when you're running more than one application and toggling between them. The cursor position is remembered, but the flashin cursor does not appear until you start to type again.... I don't rememebr it happening with Safari (and refuse to use it any more!).

You can take a screenshot (press command, shift and the number 3 key at the same time). This will create a Picture 1.png on your desktop. Email that to me info@slinging.org Chris P.S. The cursor got lost like you said, but it also happened to be the entire size of my screen.
