Lmao - I made some when I was at school - there's a pic on the forum somewhere.
Okay here you go.
Never seen any commercial ones though.

I have seen those before.  Then one that I messed with snapped when I actually threw it though.  The idea is sound, but the design of most of them leaves very much to be desired, being nothing more that a pocket knife blade attached to a triangular handle.  I like your design C_A, it looks like it would actually hold up.

When in doubt, shoot for the head (worked for David anyway...)

hi i have done japanese martial arts for around a year and my instructor has a few. there not as practical ad a solid Shuriken but works just as well so long as you can throw them correctly. Also there very hard to get a good quality set. Stick to the basic design is my advise

Yep they had some serious abuse. Stick into a tree no problem

Very easy to make. I even used meccano bolts at the time (well I was only 15).

Wow that makes those things nearly 25 years old. lol antique custom folding shuriken ;-)

honestly can't remember where I got the metal It hasn't rusted so I suspect it's galvanised. It was a piece of scrap from somewhere anyway.
It's about 2 mm thick and I cut it out with a junior hacksaw - which useful tool apparently they don't have in canada - dunno about the states Wink

I think I made the central holes with a nail and used a meccano bolt to fix the pieces together.

It was a long time ago as I said lol
