Intorduction to official slinging world

Hello my colleagues,

I’m 23 year old Lithuanian shepherd introduced to slinging half a year ago Wink

since I started using sling I became obsessed with it. At the moment I am still inaccurate (angle of projectile I am slinging still + - 30 degrees sometimes) but so far I was able to slung 150 – 200 meters with a stone, so I hope I’m on the right track.
I will try to add to this forum as much as I will be able to, videos, images and other multimedia production to make this sport easy understandable to people that has no clue about it even existing…

Well, Gediminas, there is no proof you have slung 200 meters, and I can prove that Cool

The idea of the slinging is to give the stone max energy in a short time(mostly, the final half of the circle where the sling is accelerated).
Still, even a strong guy would waste most of his energy without a proper technique (as I do

), like smooth acceleration all the way long.

Therefore I see the slinging as something between martial arts and ballet. And I like it more than martial arts and ballet together

Nice page you got! nice films, a how to, and some history. If I'm not wrong it isn't finished yet, but on the right way. Congratulations!
Only one thing: Theoreticaly I should be able to "read" Latin. But it takes some time, because I'm not fluent in it... So, could you post the "how to begin" in English please?

I was just kidding about being a shepherd, it just an expression in my language. A shepherd is a man who is not serious at all

This kind of sport for people from side might seem not serious

Thats what I wanted to emphasize ;]

As for the webpage it will be developed later on, I will try to add information and some personal experiences.
As for the Latin text thats only random generated words, I needed it to fill, because this webpage is for my College project.

Currently I am developing a technique for making cement glandes. When I will succeed I will definitely add it to the webage.
